  1960–1964: Tehran University, Iran, B.S. in Chemical Engineering.

  1965–1967: University of California, Berkeley, M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

  1967–1970: University of California, Berkeley, Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.

 

  Professional Recognition

  Has been recognized as:

  1) The founder of a fundamental relation in queuing theory known as Distributional Little’s Law (DLL)

  2) A pioneer contributor for Generalized C m Rule

  First in the class of graduates in Chemical Engineering, Tehran University 1964,

  Scholarship for graduate study in the United States from 1965 to 1970

  Dec. 1970 till present: I.E. Dept. Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, IRAN. Taught courses in Inventory Management, Engineering Economy, Production & Inventory Control, Queueing Systems, Stochastic processes, Probability Models, and Optimization at graduate and undergraduate levels.

  July 1973 to Feb. 1975: Vice Chairman of I.E. Dept., Sharif University of Technology.

  Feb. 1975 to Aug. 1977: Chairman of I.E. Dept., Sharif University of Technology.
